Today is her first field trip ever since kindergarten that Mommy won’t be around. She is scared and excited and wishes me to be there with her. I want to be with her on her whale watching field trip but I also got to be at work and as it breaks my heart to see that my daughter wants me to be there with her I just can’t. Eventually, she understands of the changes that has been going on. She is just so used to it that Mommy is always around on field trips and any other school activities.

She has an endless list of what to do and what not to do so far she has been very responsive and responsible. Although, being a parent I am scared and nervous of this field trip. Most especially that they will be boarding a boat and be at sea for 2 hours and hopefully get to get a glimpse of the whale or whales.

I wish her all the best and always be safe. Both hubby and I are edgy of this trip since it going to be in the water and I am not there. I just hope that the teachers will keep an eye on them and keep them safe.
